It’s been a while… But here are this weeks Virtual Console Releases. Must be a slow week over at Nintendo because the only game of any real not here is Golden Axe III. You can read Nintendo’s official song and dance about this weeks games after the jump…

This week we only get two games, but they are classic games that have never really seen the full light of day here in the US. Granted The Lost Levels has come out state side a few times before in compilations but never as a stand alone product. Lost Levels is the real sequel to Super Mario Bros. and it’s hard as FUCK.
Sin and Punishment is considered a classic and one of Treasures last GREAT games, so it’s nice to finally get a chance to play it.

This week as with previous weeks we get a “Nintendo” title, a Sega Genesis/Mega Drive title and a Turbo/PC Engine title. Hero of Tonma wasn’t really big state side, but Streets of Rage 3 and Kirby’s Avalanche were pretty big.
Lots of Old-School gamers aren’t to fond of Streets of Rage 3, but personally I love Kirby’s Avalanche… it was my first real introduction to Puyo games and it has lot’s personality.
You can read about all the Virtual Console games after the jump.
