On August 26th, 2008 NBC/Universal will release the second season of its MEGA-HIT television series Heroes. This second season was initially meant to be an expansive multi-volume event however the WGA strike put and end to that and the series had to end its season short, much to the dismay of its fans. Not only will we be getting a 4-Disc Standard Definition set ($39.98), but also a Blu-Ray ($69.98) version with exclusive bonus material. Well maybe much to Michael Bay’s dismay Hasbro, the toy maker of all things Transformers here stateside has let the title of the upcoming sequel to 2007’s mega hit Transformers, and it is Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen. For those not familiar with the Transformers mythos the fallen refers to the 13 original Transformers created by Primus, the below item is from the Transformers wiki.
At the dawn of time, Primus created new life, the 13 original Transformers, to crew his planetary form into battle against his eternal nemesis Unicron. One of these 13, his original name now lost to the mists of time, turned against his siblings, his creator, and his universe, and betrayed them all.
…this guardian of entropy became obsessed with the darker side of chaos and death, and in the black place these urges led him, the betrayer found a new god, more suited to his nature. He turned against Primus and became the Fallen. Now he is a being of power, darkness, and absolute dedication to Unicron.
Warner Bros. has officially announced the release of the Seventh season of their hit series Smallville. Scheduled to be released on September 7th, 2008 on both Standard Definition ($59.99) and Blu-Ray High Definition ($79.99). We have your specs and features below.
