Kristin Kreuk is CHUN LI! (Updated)

Kristin Kreuk has reportedly signed on to portray the great flying bird kicker in the upcoming Street Fighter flick from director Andrjez Bartkowiak, probably most well known for the recent DOOM movie. With a script by Justin Marks, the Fox film will put Chun Li in the forefront and follow her on her “journey for justice” while fighting a handful of combatants (where else?) in the street. This version is definitely NOT a sequel to the 1994 Jean-claude Van Damme starring movie, and will reboot the franchise for a modern audience. No word yet, though, on a target release date or on what other Street Fighter characters will be appearing in the film. I’m sure Ken, Ryu, and Guile are no-brainers, but we’ll see.

UPDATE: As it turns out, this movie is titled Street Fighter: Legend of Chun-Li, and the script apparently focuses solely on her character alone, so we can probably forget about seeing the big three (Ryu, Ken and Guile) in this flick. We’ll no doubt be seeing some of the “villains” from the franchise…

First 5 Minutes Of AVP: Requiem are AWESOME!

Click For a Bigger One!

I must say when we first heard word of another AVP movie we were all skeptic. I mean the first movied ended being love story between Sanaa Lathan and The Predator (No, really). Gladly Former visual effects artist turned directors The Strause Brothers have pretty much scrapped all the ideas from the first movie and took the franchise back to the drawing board.

The first 5 mins of AVP: Requiem builds on what the trailer promised, Aliens and Predators on earth in a small town right out of your favorite 80’s Sci-Fi Horror flick. And you know what? It works, BIG TIME!

I’ve been dying for a real AVP movie since I was a kid and it’s starting to look like I might get my wish.
