
On August 26th, 2008 NBC/Universal will release the second season of its MEGA-HIT television series Heroes. This second season was initially meant to be an expansive multi-volume event however the WGA strike put and end to that and the series had to end its season short, much to the dismay of its fans. Not only will we be getting a 4-Disc Standard Definition set ($39.98), but also a Blu-Ray ($69.98) version with exclusive bonus material. Fanboys rejoice Guillermo del Toro has been officially announced as the director for the live action adaptation of The Hobbit and its sequel which will bridge the gap between The first movie and The start of The Lord of The Rings Trilogy. Del Toro will be movie to New Zealand for 4 years and shoot the films back to back with Executive Producer Peter Jackson (who directed the Rings films). No word on casting as of yet but its still very early.

I was never a huge fan of Literature when I was in school. I don’t know why, one would think me being a huge history lover would be big on Literature cause they tend to go hand-in-hand but for some reason I could never get into reading something I was forced to read. Beowulf was one of those stories everyone read in school, and has been adapted numerous times with very little success, well now director Robert Zemeckis along with writers Roger Avery and Neil Gaiman have brought this epic story to life using the same filmmaking technique used to bring The Polar Express to life.
