Blu-ray Review: Batman Begins

The Batman franchise was in dire need of reboot, after Joel Schumaker’s nippled batsuited debacle there was nothing the fans wanted more was a dark brooding take on Batman. Enter Christopher Nolan and David S. Goyer who gave the fans exactly what they wanted a dark, grimey, and serious take on the Batman story. Weve already reviewed both the theatrical run as well as the DVD versions of Batman Begins, but now with the pending release of The Dark Knight Warner Brothers saw fit to release this gem of a movie on Blu-Ray Disc (a HD-DVD release has been out for a while). And we have the review.

Here it goes the final part of our look at the newest Indiana Jones releases, the third film in the series Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. The third and up until now the final adventure of Indiana Jones. Film series usually teeter off on the series third act (X-Men 3, Spider-Man 3 come to mind), fortunately the Indiana Jones series did not. Review: Temple of Doom

DVD Review - Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom

Sequels are always a hard thing to pull off. A director has to not only pull off something that creates the same kind of wonder that people who loved the original film will like but also create something that someone who has never seen the first movie can walk in to and enjoy just as much. For Steven Spielberg it was even harder, having finished Raiders of the Lost Ark, the director jumped right into one of his passion projects 1982’s E.T. - The Extra Terrestrial as well as producing Poltergeist at the same time. And well lets just say his heart wasnt in making another Indiana Jones film. Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom is my personal favorite of the 3 films but there are many that do not feel the same way, and with the release of Kingdom of the Crystal Skull due out this week and the release of the Original 3 films on seperate special edition DVD’s we bring you the review of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.
