I’ll be the first to admit I wasnt on the Scrubs bandwagon from the jump. For some reason I was never that interested in watching it, until I caught episodes of in syndication on Comedy Central and from then on I was hooked, and watched the series sixth season from the jump and really enjoyed it, but how is the dvd? Well read on and find out.
For those of you not in the know, Scrubs is about the crew at Sacred Heart Hospital, specifically Dr. John Dorian (J.D. for short), his best friend Turk, his wife Carla, their friend Elliot (and J.D.’s on-and-off again girlfriend) Dr. Perry Cox (played with perfection by John C. McGinley) and the other crazy characters that work there including The Janitor, the hospitals lawyer, and Chief of Medicine Dr. Kelso. This season mainly focuses on birth as we get quite a few babies being born and talked about, it also has some very bold moves made, like the Musical episode entitled “My Musical”. Those looking for tense medical drama go to that other show on NBC that takes place in a hospital, Scrubs main focus is on laughs and there are plenty here to go around.
While at first look it may not look feature packed, upon further review there is quite a bit of material here:
• Audio Commentary tracks on all 22 episodes by members of the cast and crew
• My Making of: “My Musical”
• Judy Reyes Keeps Talking
• Scrubbed Out - Deleted Scenes
• Practice, Practice, Malpractice - Outtakes

Presented in its original 1.33:1 fullscreen ratio Scrubs looks exactly how its looks watching it on NBC’s HD feed colors are represented accurately as well as evenly. No Edge-Enhancement is noticeable as well. The series is also given a very nice English 5.1 Dolby Digital soundtrack (though its not entirely needed).

A very strong offering by one of the funniest sitcoms on television today. So if your a long time fan or a newcomer to the show you should pick this up right now!
