Review: The Jungle Book

Norhing says Americana like the Disney animated film, for the better part of a century the folks at the mouse house have cranked out amazing achievement after amazing achievement. And now one of my all time favorites the adaptation of the Rudyard Kipling classic The Jungle Book is getting the Deluxe treatment it rightfully deserves.

Film and Features

A classic 1967 Disney animated film that’s loosely based on Rudyard Kipling’s book of the same name, Jungle Book tells the story of a young boy Mowgli who was raised by animals in the jungle. When tiger Shere Khan threatens to return to their part of the jungle, the other animals decide that Mowgli must return to the man village in order to ensure his safety. Panther Bagheera has difficulty convincing Mowgli to follow him to the man village and recruits the help of a big lovable bear Baloo. Mowgli’s journey is one of wit, song, and many surprises. The Jungle Book is a timeless classic of anamation that suprisingly despite its age (40 years old) holds up VERY well.

The folks over at the Disney Studios know how to put together a DVD that the entire family will enjoy and this 2 Disc DVD is no different, filled with different interactive games as well as a bunch of behind the scenes stuff there truly is something for everyone here:
