Wolverine Has A Director

To say the hype on X-Men has died down since Mr. Rush Hour himself Brett Ratner took the helm in X-Men 3 would be a huge understatment. While not completely terrible, it was mediocre at best. So untill now all talk of a Wolverine or Magneto movie has been pretty unexciting. That is until now.

Word is that Gavin Hood of the Oscar award winning film TSOTSI will be directing the Wolverine spin off for Marvel. The story is being handled by David Benioff who wrote one of my favorite Spike Lee movies 25th Hour. Filming is set to start in November when Jackman wraps on Baz Luhrmann’s AUSTRALIA.

The scrip delvs in to Wolvie’s past in the Weapon X project and will include such badies as Sabertooth, Silver Fox and The Blob!!

Let’s hope they restore the X-Men franchise back to it’s former glory…
