When I first heard news of a totally re-drawn high res 1080p version of Street Fighter II turbo I was ecstatic… Then I heard all the new art was being handled by Street Fighter comic specialist UDON and I lost all control of my bowels…
I’m still a big proponent of 2D games and belive they have a place in the current gaming landscape, especially when it comes to fighting games. Now with high def resolution and graphic technology, 2D games look better then ever. Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix will be no exception, The image totally speaks for its self. The good news is more art and screens are coming, Here’s a quote from Capcom blogger Brian Dunn.
I will be starting a new blog very soon to bring you all exclusive stuff (art, interviews, scoops, and more) on all of our download titles (Puzzle Fighter, Street Fighter, Rocketmen, Talisman, etc.), but to give you a taste of what’s to come, here is the very first official image released of Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix. All of the backgrounds, portraits, and in-game animations are being completely re-drawn, in hi-res (game will run in 1080p), by Udon Comics.
And this is what it will look like (if you paused the game and took out the background):
I have much more art to share in the coming weeks, leading up all the way to launch.

Man this looks so nice. I’m a big fan of ken and I am glad to see him look this nice. Now I just can wait until this game comes out because it gives me hope that we will finally see a new street fighter game.

The Graphics looks cool but it should be for Street Fighter IV…
If is Street Fighter 4 it better have…..
*All the figthers from all the:
-Street Fighter Alpha Series
-Street Fighter 3rd Strike
-Street Fighter I (the arcade game) the characters that never appeared again.
I want to see Balrog vs Dudley; Hugo vs Zangief; Alex vs Birdie; Sakura vs Elena; Makoto vs Karin; Bison vs Gill; Dhalsim vs Necro; Guile vs Q; and more. Can you imagine that!!!!
*The Power Bars Should be:
*Street Fighter Alpha/Zero 3
-The X-ism
-The A-ism (Z-ism japanese version)
-The V-ism
*Street Fighter III 3rd Strike
-The best power bar for parry
*Capcom vs snk 2
-The C-Groove (a little different than A-ism)
-The A-Groove (a little different than V-ism)
-The S-Groove (only skilled players knows how to play this bar)
-The N-Groove (easy bar use for beginners)
-The K-Groove (should be there for fun)
All this bars should be available in Street Fighter IV.
If they make this kind of Street Fighter, it will be fun to play against many different players. Of course this game should be available for all the consoles (PS2/PS3, Nintendo Wii (it can handle it so don’t complain), Xbox and Arcade).
If they do this game like I say with all the characters from all the series (no exceptions) and the bars I will be able to pay 70 or even 80 dollars for such a good game….

It should also have a tag team match option. 2 on 2 is fighting keeps the game more balance. 1 good player can fight 3 bad player would be cool too. Also it’s lets play different charaters at each fight..Like the dreamcast version.
