Guitar hero II for the 360 finally got a more concrete release date from Activision. It’ll be coming out in March with a simultaneous launch in the U.S. and Europe. To Recap,The Xbox 360 version will feature better graphics, additional songs, downloadable content, and the new wired X-Plorer guitar specifically tailored for your 360.
Dusty Welch, Head of Publishing, RedOctane, said of the game when it was first unveiled back at X06 last September: “With its large integrated hard drive, Xbox 360 provides an incredible platform for facilitating downloadable content. We believe there is no better title to feature micro-transactions than a music game like Guitar Hero II, where the content is the basis of your experience. The relationship with the Xbox Live Marketplace creates endless possibilities for exclusive content.
It’d be really useful if they added some sort of Hard/Expert tutorial because I, along with countless other gamers, are having a hard time transitioning from medium to hard/expert. And maybe in GHIII, they’ll add some sort of mechanism so that you can download any song, convert and make playable in the game. The note conversion seems a bit difficult to say the least but i can dream, right?
