Who would have thought this would happen? Universal Pictures announced today that Paul W.S. Anderson (Resident Evil, Mortal Kombat) would be developing the big screen adaptation of the popular game series Castlevania. The film will be set in the 15th century and will follow Trevor Belmont and his battle against Dracula. Filming should begin this spring, but neither casting nor release details were announced.
No word yet on how many people breathed a sigh of relief that this isn’t being done by Uwe Boll.

I saw news on this a while back, like a year ago, though it was in pre-pre-pre-development stages and was just a thought, and didn’t have anyone attached. Anderson and Boll should create a videogame-adaptation tag team of death and just put us out of our misery.

I dunno man, I like Anderson’s works. Resident Evil is actually a cult favorite of mine. And you have to admit that Mortal Kombat was alot better than it could have been.

I think they could make this a good movie. Well “They” couldnt but its a good movie idea to me. Also Anderson isnt that bad i liked resident evil and the first mortal kombat was good
