Sony E306 Updates [EST]
6:30pm - Show will be kicking off soon.
7:30pm - The show is officially running late.


7:50pm - Kaz Hirai finally Hits the stage.
7:55pm - Kaz goes over the Playstation 2 numbers.
7:58pm - Promises to support PS2 in hardware and software (216 new titles from first and third parties)
7:59pm - Kaz moves on to the PSP “The fastest selling platform in Sony’s history, almost 1 million a month”
8:03pm - PSP Greatest Hits: ATV off-road, Ape Escape, Hot Shots, Twisted Metal Head-on and Wipeout.
8:05pm - PSP Game shares and press assets for download after the show
8:08pm - Kaz moves on to the PS3
8:12pm - Users can exchange data between the PSP and PS3 wirelessly, though USB or using the Memory stick.
8:14pm - Every PS3 will ship with a Hard drive
8:14pm - Playstation 3 will launch world-wide in “Clear Black”
8:15pm - Final Dev. systems are shipping now “6 months before launch”


8:16pm - Kazunori Yamauchi hit’s the stage to show a Grand Turismo prototype “Grand Turismo HD”.
8:25pm - Yamauchi Shows off older Gran Turismo Games


8:27pm - Shows off Grand Canyon track


8:33pm - New Eye Toy card game that tracks cards and player movement.
8:36pm - Kaz is back on stage talking about Playstation Online.
8:39pm - Kaz has a PSP running and emulated copy of Ridge Racer
8:41pm - Phil shows off PS3’s version of XBL Market Place.


8:44pm - Games like sing star will let you buy songs ala XBLMP
8:45pm - Singstar will let you upload your performances with audio and video using Eye Toy
8:49pm - Sony shows Genji 2
8:51pm - Sony shows and F1 game using the PSP as a rear view mirror
8:52pm - Heavenly Sword is up next
8:54pm - Weak crowd response
8:55pm - Runs video of games that aren’t yet playable
9:06pm - Phil shows 2 more games one from Sony called Eight Days and one from Naughty Dog that looks a lot like Far Cry
9:09pm - Ted Price shows off the Resistance: Fall of Man Demo
9:10pm - The playable demo portion of the conference is over.. (No Killzone 2???)
9:14pm - Showing off a bunch of 3rd party footage, including Sonic, Virtua Tennis 3 and Virtua Fighter 5.
9:17pm - Kaz introduces EA to the stage
9:18pm - EA Shows Off NBA Live PS2 vs PS3
9:25pm - EA Shows Off Tiger Woods


9:29pm - MSG4 TRAILER!
9:35pm - The Evil Kuturagi takes the stage to show off the PS3 controller
9:37pm - The new dual shock controller has “6 Degrees of Freedom” aka the Wii-mote.
9:39pm - Demoing the new controller with WarHawk
9:43pm - Two PS3 SKUs 20 gigs, $499 60 gigs $599.
9:44pm - 2 Million PS3 at launch, A total of 4 million by December. 6 Million total by March 07.

    ok two things here:
    1st, 8:15pm - Final Dev. systems are shipping now “6 months before launch” - does that mean the launch is december? instead of oct?

    and 2nd $500 for the 20giger, thats pretty outrageous…

    does anyone know the figures for the xbox 360’s launch?

    i heard about the two prices for the PS3 earlier this morning on the news, it makes me pretty upset.. i don’t think i’m getting one now.
    they also said the launch was November 18th.

    It’s a small price to pay for a system that will let you watch the Matrix Trilogy in HD.
