Mortal Kombat III coming to XBLA!!!

On the heels of the Street Fighter II launch for Xbox Live Arcade Midway has announced 5 new XBLA titles including ULTIMATE MORTAL KOMBAT (que the theme song) III. The other Midway games coming to XBLA include Cyberball, Root Beer Tapper, Paperboy and Defender.

While I’m definitely excited about Street Fighter II coming to Live Arcade, the game and fighting system are a bit dated. Hopefully with Midway bringing UMKIII to Live, Capcom will up the anti and give us some Alpha, Vs. or the coup de gra Street Fighter 3 Third Strike!!!

Speaking of 2D games …Hey SNK can we get some KOF, Samurai Showdown and Metal Slug co-op on XBLA???? We could also use some classic Capcom and Konami co-op beat-em-ups… Simpsons, X-Men, Sunset Riders, Knights of the Round… I’ll take anything.

Midway has yet to announce a date, hopefully it’s soon! I’ll Keep you posted!
