Half-Life 2: Episode One

The universe of Half-Life just got a whole lot bigger....

Looks like Valve is going full Steam ahead. Valve, developers of the critically acclaimed Half-Life series has unvieled new plans for the franchise. With the advent of the upcoming expansion pack to Half-Life 2, Aftermath, coming in a few months, Valve has announced that they will be commiting to creating and releasing episodic content, much like that of Ritual Entertainment’s plans for the remake of the Sin series. The first step in this process is Aftermath itself, which has been renamed Half-Life 2: Episode One. While this promises for regular releases of content for Half-Life 2, it does not offer us any news of the possibility of the next full game in the series.

Regardless, it looks like fans won’t be taking Half-Life 2 off their hard drive for a long time to come…
