Apple had a gang of news and new products they showed off at MacWorld 2k6. The all new MacBook Pro wasn’t the only thing they had to show-off, there were a bunch of other great products, here are the highlights!
Apple iMac [Intel Core Duo]
Though not as exciting as the announcements of new Powe….(JEEZ) MacBooks, It’s nice to see Apple going full steam ahead and moving over to the Intel platform. The iMac is a big step in the right direction, while the increase in power isn’t as big as in the MacBook its still 2-3X faster then current model iMacs. I’m sure the Mini, PowerMac and iBook will soon follow.

iPod Radio Remote
Finally apple has refreshed their remote design, but not only do we get a new remote, we also FINALLY get to listen to FM radio in our ipod… The remote is basically the controller on the iPod Shuffle. The radio is controlled using the iPod and has a some nifty on screen graphics. While the FM radio is nice… I think it’s a bit late especially considering the recent BOOM in satellite radio. Hopefully Apple will partner up with XM or Sirius in the near future… (Sirius please).

Other Apple News
There were also a bunch of other smaller announcements from Apple today. Apple has refreshed most of their major Apps including iLife and iWork, they also put out a few new accessories for the ipod.
iLife now has full podcasting support in nearly all their apps, Garage Band now has a full podcasting studio. iWeb is also a big new part of the iLife suite, it’s basically Apple’s solution to blogging.
iWork has some new basic features most of which are new graphics and features in Keynote.
Rounding out all of Apples announcements are In-Ear Lanyard Headphones for the iPod Nano.

Phew…. that’s all for now, I’ll have a full review of the 15′ MacBook when it comes sometime in February.
