ATI Radeon X1000 Series Cards

Ati has released the much anticipated X1000 lineup including the new x1800 performance and the budget and value priced X1600 and X1300. While late to release, the x1800 is Ati’s answer to the nVidia’s current 7800 series. New features to the Ati cards include: Shader Model 3.0 support, processors fabbed on TSMC’s 90nm process, High quality angle independent Anisotropic Filtering and Anti Aliasing supported on MRT and fp16 output. While current pricing places the x1800 above nVidia’s current 7800 offerings, the x1800 is expected to perform at or above nVidia cards. x1800 256mb cards are available now and 512mb versions are expected in the upcoming months.
