This isn’t that mouth-watering concept keyboard I’m sure many have seen (the Optimus) but its as near as can be without totally mimicking it (and of course this isn’t a concept, its reality). The United Keys 205PRO LCD Display Keyboard features LCD buttons instead of the OLED keys the Optimus featured, and not all keys are miniature screens (the United Keys keyboard has a selected amount of LCD keys on the top) as opposed to the Optimus keyboard (where all the buttons were mini OLED screens and all the buttons were user programmable). It includes a icon editor program and the LCDs are monochrome (20×20pixels). Cost is a pricey $300 US and they’ll be available in Q1 of 2006.
