Sony has officially announced an new all white PSP as well as some deets on version 2.0 of their firmware.
The new all white PSP which will be available on September 15th is sexy but the big news is version 2.0 of the firmware. Sony will begin offering the new firmware for Japanese PSP on July 27th. Some of the most notable features include Web Browsing, Portable TV (???), Better H.264 Support, Better Image Support and Custom Wallpapers.
Here are some of the other new features
Network
• Internet Browser
Video
• Jump function (UMD VIDEO and UMD MUSIC)
• A-B repeat mode
Photo
• Wallpaper function
• Sending and receiving of pictures
• Support for TIFF, GIF, PNG and BMP
Setting
• Korean language
• Theme setting
• Network security setting [WPA-PSK]
• Web keyboard input
With all these features I’m sure some of you holding on to Firmware v 1.5 might start thinking about upgrading!
