Well, it looks like Dreamworks is hell bent on ruining my beloved Transformers. There have been tons of rumors floating around, from George Clooney voicing prime, to Michael Bay directing (which has been confirmed).
In a recent article on Comingsoon.net one of the writers Alex Kurtzman said “If the film opens up to a bunch of robots in outer space, we’re dead.” WHAT!!!!???? That’s what Transformers is… These guys are totally going about it the wrong way.
Kurtzman also said “It’s all about keeping it at a human level, and seeing the amazing things that are going on through the eyes of the characters.”
Could he be more WRONG!!!!! The humans should be secondary, Transformers is ALL about the bots. If they want to know how its done all they have to do is watch Robots or Finding Nemo. Humanize the subjects like they did in those films just step it up for an older audience.
Well… anyhow… the official site is up if any of you guys care… I’ll be up all crying and asking god is he letting fools destroy such a phenomenal license.
