Buena Vista Films on UMD

With the release of Sony’s PSP one week away Disney owned Buena Vista Home Entertainment has decided to join Lions Gate and release its films on Sony PSP’s new UMD movie format.

While Lions Gate signed on officially last week, Disney’s Buena Vista is the first major studio to sign up since Sony owned Sony Pictures which was a given.

Buena Vista’s first wave of releases will be: National Treasures, Pirates of The Caribbean, Reign of Fire, Kill Bill Vol. 1 and Hero this spring. They will obviously be more titles to follow.

Buena Vista has yet to set a price but as we already know Sony has set prices around $20 and up!!!!
