The Face of Dr. Doom

Here’s the first real shot of Dr. Doom in full costume. I have to say, I am extremely satisfied with this look It is a great costume and an excellent portrayal of the character. It seems to really stay true to the original look of Doom, and doesn’t skew his appearance like they have with previous comic-to-film characters (i.e., Green Goblin, Bullseye). I’m really looking forward to this film now, especially after the news that Tim Story’s version of the film will NOT be a comedy as previously reported.

Of course we can only wait and see how big of a success this shot at Marvel-dom will be, especially since the box office disappointments of such attempts as Daredevil and the Hulk. It seems Blade and X-Men really paved the way for worthy comic book films, but they’ve yet to follow suit with another big hit. The pic of Dr. Doom debuted in a recent issue of Entertainment Weekly, but popped up online shortly beforehand.
