Van Camp to star in the Ring 2

Emily Van Camp, from the popular WB series Everwood, has been cast as the young female lead in the Ring 2. Van Camp joins the current cast of Naomi Watts, Simon Baker and Sissy Spacek. Van Camp’s character is a girl named Emily, a shy high school student who is asked out by an All-American jock named Jake, much to her surprise. Not much else is known about the current incarnation of the story, as well as further casting. The Ring 2 is expected to start filming in May.
