Warner Brothers Interactive and America Online announced today that they have made a deal to integrate AOL’s Instant Messenger into the upcoming Matrix Online. Players will be able to use their existing AIM screen names or even create new ones to assign to their characters. The buddy list will show what friends are online, and will allow them to communicate with them in-game. You can also still communicate with other individuals outside of the game, so you are not completely cut off from reality while playing the game. The Matrix Online is expected to have a showing at E3 this year and will most likely display this new development as well.
